After a crazy fun Halloween weekend in Vegas.. We came back just in time to watch game 5 .. Literally got off the plane, redressed, headed to the Marina to grab a bite at Pizza Orgasmica then catched the last 3 innings at East Side West to celebrate the Giants winning the World Fucking Series!!!!

FYI- champagne showers look so much funner on TV.. not when it's literally RAINING inside of alcohol. But the taste of victory was definitely sweet and witnessing history and being a part of the whole hoopla made me very proud to be from the Bay Area.

Getting drenched wouldn't have felt as bad if our destination within the next 15 minutes didn't require us to look somewhat presentable or at least just dry. But we pressed on with the rest of our energy.. watched my girl Ingrid Michaelson perform at the Fillmore- who is more fabulous in person and after the concert continued the celebration at Matrix.

I have never seen San Francisco go insane like tonight.
Happy vibes everywhere.

i've been a bear in hibernation from my blog but now it's time to finish the year strong! i don't even know how 2010 is already closing in but as always, I wanted to do something different each day/month/year/occasion than before.. so what better way to spend my favorite holiday- Halloween, than anywhere else in the world- VEGAS!

I've always wanted to be an Indian but thought it was so typical.. but since Joanna was going to be a Cowboy.. I figured it would look cute since we always go as a pair each year. Unfortunately her outfit didn't go as planned so her maverick and i all became one tribe.

We made our costumes from scratch in a day and it was the best $25 spent on feathers, material, and fur.

I'll admit I can get pretty creative when it comes to costumes, although for once, I really just wanted to be something simple. Not a cartoon character, not something animated again.. and in deciding to go down this route I knew I definitely needed to turn it up a notch.. more so for vegas- you can pretty much get away with anything out here.

I'm the kind that likes to be different and like most people, my biggest nightmare would be to run into someone who had the same exact costume on. I'm also the kind that loves animal print, particularly leopard so I thought it would be neat to simply body paint that as my costume all over... and oh money.

Just like in the movie Mean Girls, my $5 cat ears and $8 tail aren't the only things to give away my costume.
So if someone asks me what I'm dressed up as, I think I'm entitled to say ---
"i'm a leopard, duh!" :)

And just when you think San Francisco couldn't get any better this month.. the hype of the playoffs happens and then the cherry on top ----> the Giants make it to the World Series!!!

World Series Game 1
Momo's SF

Tickets were SUPER expensive but I knew I wanted to be in all the action during this time so we made reservations early in advance and watched the game at Momo's- located right across the AT&T Park. There are no words to describe how exciting it was to be in this area and feel the energy all around. Adding another cherry, some guys next to our table were so kind to pay for our extremely high bill just because we won! Such a sweet unexpected gesture to celebrate the first win! Go us and go GIANTS!! :)

World Series Game 2
BJ's San Bruno

I haven't seen my best friend Tomiko in ages since she just gave birth a few months ago. Her request to stay close enough to home so she can get back to her newborn allowed us to simply watch the game at BJ's. A couple of us started the happy hour early to lock down a good seat and even though we weren't in SF, the vibe was as if we were inside the game! And now the real maraschino cherry? The mall was still open so a drunken walk to Forever 21 was in a radius too close to miss! Let's just say while Rachael shopped.. Tomiko, Maria and I had a hay-day messing with the $5 bin and a mirror. Oh what good times.. High fives all day!

Fleet week is a very exciting time in San Francisco, especially since the weather has been AMAZING. i'm most probably stressing the amount of sunshine we've been getting a lot lately but it's something that doesn't frequent here too often.

The main viewing area most people watch the Blue Angels is at the Marina Green.. but a more fun way i got to see the air show this year was on a yacht along pier 39!

clear skies, warm weather, and loads of people.. i'm definitely FALLing in love with the season.
