Natalie Portman, Marie Claire January 2010 issue

it always feels good to be busy but im typing this as i wait for my room service.. with all the holiday festivities, my body is exhausted! i'm just recovering from a bad cold and don't know how i was able to manage such a fun fun week :) hold on.. my cheeseburger, chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream has arrived. anyhow.. the airplane ride was most probably the only down time i've had and i was able to read my first magazine in ages. ive been so consumed reading a bunch of books or glued to my iphone that it felt nice to relax and enjoy an easy read.

so the cover of Marie Claire's January 2010 issue is Natalie Portman- and God, I love her. She defines natural beauty to me- she's sexy, smart, talented and single. ;)

One of my favorite words of advice from the interview was from her father where he said,

"It may take her some time to find the right man, 'because here she is, brilliantly intelligent and shockingly beautiful. The world is at her feet.' While most of us have just a handful of people to choose from, in [her] case, the options are limitless.. and if you have to sort through all the guys on earth, it takes a lot longer."

i'll be in arizona for a week and will try to update as often as i can.. so in the meantime you can follow me on twitter!!

f21 faux fur bolero & pleather shorts, lna shirt, urban outfitters bib necklace, bakers booties, louis vuitton bag, thrift sunglasses

attempted to do just a wish list post since the countdown to my birthday begins (december 30) but as i was browsing online at a bunch of things i would love to add to my wardrobe, i was so tempted and decided to go shopping today since i didn't even bother to go on black friday. i never understood the hype but i personally enjoy a less crowded downtown and had a pretty successful shopping experience all while getting into the holiday spirit. oh and a big thanks to my first blue bottle coffee that powered me through the day.. with 860+ reviews on yelp and a rating of 4.5 stars.. now that was actually worth the hype!

3 fritatas, 1 egg florentine, 4 spark plugs, rounds of bottomless mimosa's and 5 hours later proves lime is the place to be with your girlfriends on the weekend. this ultra chic spot makes it a fun gathering place with its sleek and hip decor, good music, cool crowd and vibe.. we definitely had a headstart for the night and got the party rolling at 1130am! i love love love the holidays.

so for thanksgiving and black friday..

i've finally updated my

since you've been patiently waiting for this post, i first wanted to thank you all for your love and warm messages on facebook, twitter, and emails. you definitely make blogging worth while. it's pretty neat to have such a sweet fan base/readers/followers and i appreciate it with all my heart.

and because of the long wait, i've included to sell items highly requested that i've worn the past year throughout my blog.

and again...

Make a difference when you shop! Donations from my eBay listings go towards the Divine Mercy Eucharistic- Mary's House located in San Pablo, CA. I feel very strong about this cause because it provides an outlet for pregnant women to turn, give the option as a halfway house so women do not need to choose abortion and helps women get back on their feet after childbirth. This home is run by donations from the proceeds of their volunteer-run thrift shop and because I felt very fortunate during my pregnancy, I relate to the importance of how having the support can make such an impact :)

Happy Shopping!
