October is really the best time to visit New York. We came out for Alex's talk at the New York Public Library and celebrated another book release party on the roof of Gramercy Park Hotel. We dined at a lot of good restaurants-- Tartinery, Barbuto, Pera, Blue Hill and La Mar. We checked out the Guggenheim Museum, this fun ping-pong spot called Spin, did a little shopping in Soho and the Flatiron and on our last day we headed upstate to visit his family's farm. It was so nice to see the leaves change colors-- one of the prettiest sights I've seen on the East Coast. You don't get much of that out here in San Francisco so it was a real treat to experience Fall like this.. plus it was a very relaxing way to end our trip.
