MOLOKINI CRATER

We enjoyed our stay at the Four Seasons in Wailea even though it rained throughout the entire trip here. We had a few pockets of sunshine when we left the hotel to snorkel in Molokini. We made 2 attempts to go out in the water. The first was through Pride of Maui, which was a complete fail and I would NOT recommend this boat tour (it was way too crowded and we didn't even get to see Molokini!).

But the next day, we booked a tour with Blue Water Rafting and this was the highlight of our trip! If you get a chance to visit this island and are seeking adventure -- I highly suggest checking this spot out through this company. I know there are mixed reviews about this place, and to some extent I agree since it's tough to follow up after snorkeling in Providencia. But our experience in Molokini was definitely a unique one since we were the only boat docked and we were very lucky to have the entire crater all to ourselves! Not to mention, it was super cool to swim inside a volcano and along the edge of the reef. And since I have always wanted to come here, I'm happy we were able to have it without any other tourists!

Maui Fever

Here are a few photos from our last night and probably only sunset we saw in Maui. We visited in January and didn't get a lot of sun/optimal weather for a turbo tan. But we got to see tons of whales, eat tasty food, and most of all, start the New Year in Hawaii!
