Halloween 2014

by Nikki Cornell

We attended the UNICEF Masquerade Ball in New York for Halloween. The theme was Adventures in Wonderland so we arrived as the King and Queen of Hearts. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, although I'm finding less time to prep for it from previous years.  I was still happy the was our costumes came out. We also spent Halloween 2013 in NYC and both times were a blast!

So sorry for the delay in all these blog posts! I will try to catch up and get some pictures since October of last year so stay tuned!

FALLING LEAVES

by Nikki Cornell

Madewell sweater, Rag & Bone jeans, Cole Haan flats, Jennifer Zeuner necklace

Fall in New York is the best time of the year. And this is the perfect cozy sweater to wear during this season. The suede and burnt orange color combo goes well with all the foliage and screams autumn. If you ever make your way upstate, I highly recommend going to one of my favorite restaurants, The Inn at Pound Ridge. Same chef as ABC Kitchen and same cool decor and intimate atmosphere. Definitely worth the drive to get away from all the busyness of the city.

Autumnal Hues in Soho

by Nikki Cornell

Pants: Zara, Scarf: Madewell, Bag: Celine, Shoes: Cole Haan, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: Cartier

Here's one of my favorite outfits from my visit to New York last October 2014. I always make it a point to visit during the fall -- spending time in both Manhattan and Upstate. We stayed at the Mondrian for 2 nights, headed up to Westchester for the weekend, and returned back to Soho for 3 nights at The Mercer Hotel.

Food recommendations: Brunch at Jack's Wife Frieda and Dudley's, Lunch at ABC Kitchen and (The Mercer) Kitchen, and dinner at Isola Trattoria and Lure Fish Bar.
