Alex is a huge fan of Neon Trees so we watched them perform last Sunday at The Fillmore. I haven't been to a concert in ages so I was really excited to see them play. Since it was just up the block, we also got to eat at DOSA- a cool spot I'd definitely recommend to try. Tyler Glenn, the lead singer was so entertaining to watch, surprisingly it was one of the best shows I've ever seen.  And as adolecenst as it may feel to match your boyfriend, i really like it.

After weeks of planning, the girls and I finally got together to celebrate Rachael's Bon Voyage party. Our gatherings nowadays usually consist of brunch somewhere fun but since it was a special occassion they decided to go to The Grand to celebrate. I don't even remember the last time I've gone to a nightclub and for something that used to feel so familiar now feels old, I definitely know I've outgrown that phase. My main highlight was the getting dressed and dolled up part together.. the pre-game portion of the night. Took an Uber cab-- one of the best services and one of my most used apps on my iPhone, came home to my leftover super veggie sandwich from Little Lucca and the rest of the night was pretty much a blur. The hangover the next day was all I needed to remind me that we had a good time, along with the photos I don't even remember taking and recaps via group text. The last shot of patron I probably could've done without but we all were having so much fun anyway that I was too giddy to even care about the major headache it would bring.  I'm amazed how hard I used to party in the past and am content that I no longer do  just because I know I can't hang anymore... and I'm completely ok with that. #lowtolerance

The Hamptons is everything you imagine it to be and these pictures make me want to go back already. Anywhere I spend seven days or more becomes like home and this trip to New York was very memorable. We had dinner in NYC the night before at Blue Hill-- one of my favorite restaurants and too bad they don't allow you to take pictures inside but I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area. In Montauk, which is basically the furthest end of Long Island, I had breakfast every single morning at Joni's Cafe that consisted of a smoothie and a cinnamon raisin toast with cream cheese. We visited the oldest Lighthouse in New York, went kayaking, played miniature golf and spent days and nights inside the water and on the beach. However, the Surf Lodge is probably my highlight of the trip since there is nothing I don't like about it. The food, the decor, the vibe-- it's pretty much my kind of scene and wish we had a place like that nearby in SF. I didn't really do much shopping but East Hampton is the best spot for  that and another good place we ate at out there was Nick and Toni's. After 5 days of summering, we headed back to the city and had dinner at the lovely Waverly Inn. This too is another favorite of mine and after this vacation I really appreciated what the East Coast has to offer.

My fourth of July was pretty low key. Dinner at Delarosa and watched a movie. I've been watching a ton of movies these days, guess I'm making up for loss times. It's been a whirlwind since getting back from the Hamptons and is why it's taking me so long to post those pictures. (They'll be up this week, I promise.) We celebrated Maverick's birthday on the 2nd and can't believe he's already 4. Time sure flies. Anyway, I'm really loving my short do and am happy I finally got to sport this Top Gun shirt I got forever ago from the Goodwill. Cut it up since the neckline was too high and seriously have been wearing this jacket non stop. I have no intention of switching it out of rotation from my closet any time soon either and I'm definitely going to get a lot of wear from these heels too.
