do over 8/8/10
ok..... so here's my attempt to recap back from my last post, so bear with me.
i came back to LA and returned to my favorite summer party-
THE DO OVER.
Talk about Sunday Funday.. This weekly day time event is thrown every summer and is THE place to be for an awesome time. At
Cranes Hollywood Tavern with no cover and talented DJ's makes this spot a perfect place to get your groove on. With a laid-back house party feel and a crowd so diverse, it's no wonder it's always happening. The sweat, sunshine and spilled sangria is all part of the charm.
Note to self- white distressed denim shorts are just asking for wine stains.
apparently, almost everyone i know has returned from vegas and i have yet to come back to another favorite destination of mine this year. if i could make the time i'd solely go for the pool parties- gotta love em. here's some old photos i reminisce of the good ol' days when i first fell in love with the daytime events in sin city.
this was the perfect swimsuit to wear 2.5 months after Maverick was born. It definitely stood out since most people at the time wore 2 pieces where mine and Tomiko's monokini's were rare amongst the crowd. :)

rehab 2008
this was another favorite bikini I scored in Hawaii and wore my very first time I went to rehab.

rehab 2007
i could live in a bikini but my favorite so far was the one I wore last year...

rehab 2009hope everyone is enjoying the summertime :)
apparently i've been MIA for quite sometime but let's just say i'm back again in ode to my pops who's convinced me to get the ball going again on here. mind you he's also the one who introduced me to facebook and suddenly i have 3000 friends i barely know. but i wanted to thank all my readers for your patience and for your loyalty in waiting for these updates.
next on my list is to tackle all the emails and messages i've been putting off as well.
so pops, this is for you. happy father's day. and i guess this holiday can be celebrated for me too since a number of friends greeted me with a unisex day in my situation which i found amusing.
anyway, cheers! and do look forward to more. xo.
nikki meal: orange juice, eggs florentine & pancakes
if you know me, then you know my love for breakfast. it's a meal i honestly could eat any time of the day. there's this popular place called
mama's on washington square in san francisco where the wait can go up to 2 hours and the line is longer than a ride in disneyland. but bc of all the rave and the time invested waiting already, we committed to staying even if our empty stomachs were getting to the point of not being hungry anymore. eventually we finally got inside, and when our meals arrived, we were not disappointed because the food and the service was excellent. i'd like to say i'd come back again but that wait is so discouraging i'd rather venture off and try another breakfast joint to get my eggs florentine. :)
