went downtown and saw christmas decorations in macy's display windows.. the holidays are here and even though the weather would say otherwise i'm excited! 2 more months left of 2009! :) what a great year... life is just grand.

i used to frequent this street more in high school and my college days and forgot what a neat spot it is to get your halloween gear and accessories. i planned on being a clown on one of the days for halloween weekend but my failed attempt wasn't as cute as i imagined it to be. and speaking of cute, my hair is getting a little too long for my liking and i haven't gotten a hair cut in years.. contemplating on a new do since i think i'm over the bangs.. normally i'd dye it darker in the winter but i'm loving my lightened locks that i just may keep it for a bit longer.. we'll see :)

We originally were heading to
Barn Diva for dinner but settled for
A Divine Affair since we were able to be seated. This hidden gem is located in the heart of
Healdsburg, home to many appetizing restaurants. Not only does this spot have great food and excellent service but the decor and live music make your dining experience that much more warm, intimate, and inviting. I'm all about details and this place has it down to the T- from the local artwork of bicycles on the the
exposed brick walls,
ice cream parlor chairs, velvet seats, plush pillows, tinted teal and pink
fleur-de-lys glassware, and candle lights gives out an elegant and cozy feel to the ambiance. As the pianist and jazz singer serenades you to your favorite requested tunes, it's impossible not to enjoy the evening over a bottle of chilled white wine. We were pleasantly surprised to have stumbled upon this cute place and look forward to coming back again. Even though it's not one of the most reviewed restaurants on
yelp, it goes to show regardless of so many choices to choose from, being open and trying new things can lead you to what exactly you were looking for :)

i'm not mad about the weather since it feels pretty refreshing outside and luckily we took these pictures before it started to pour. i don't think i remember the last time i've seen it rain so hard and driving on the freeway definitely required much more concentration. anyway, i'm recovering from a cold and words with friends has taken over my life. i had another squash pupusa for lunch from
pupusa salvadorena. add the cabbage from the ziplock and 2 packs of hotsauce with a horchata and that's what i call a meal! ahhh 90210 is on in 5 minutes! gtg! xo. lol :)
oh wait, one more thing.. i've been crazy about
banana nut bread from
trader joes.. my room mate and i have baked this non stop- it makes our home smell so good! add chocolate chips and you've got yourself a perfect dessert!
