this past week has been a bit busy and i've gotten a bunch of new things to wear that i can't wait to sport. the other day i scored big at the
salvation army and
goodwill. most of the clothes i love are those hard to find-never thought-but glad i kept looking-thrift kinds.. mostly bc there's a story behind it which is part the thrill i enjoy in looking for hidden treasures. don't get me wrong i enjoy luxurious and lavish things every now and then but i love to mix it up with inexpensive things.. which speaking of- i also did well at
forever 21 where i got these super cute boots and this faux fur vest that's to die for.
anyhow, i've seen a lot of pumpkins lately but none compare to the ones at the
petaluma pumpkin patch. it's pretty neat to see a whole field of pumpkins that cause so much traffic each year on 101. and even if they look the same from the ones at the grocery store or at a parking lot on a cement pavement covered with hay, this is definitely an experience to pick your own pumpkin and enjoy the fall fun.
and thank you again everyone for all the love and emails :) enjoy!

halloween is my absolute favorite holiday.. well so is christmas and valentines day but i love the act of getting dressed up and being creative. last year i was popeye and then the next day i was a different kind of sailor that some like to call a sexier version. then the year before that i was fred flinstone.. and i'm still debating what i should be this year but have one costume i'm trying to put together but we'll see how that works out.. luckily this halloween is a full blown weekend which only makes it that more exciting to have lots of ideas to be! :) can't wait!
oh and last year me and my girlfriend's loved halloween so much we had a monthly costume party thereon after which usually consisted of a magicmic/rockband/karaoke-wine night which guaranteed super fun times!

with so much action going on this month and all the festivities to follow, it's no wonder why october is one of my favorite times in the city. with indian summer coming to an end and the cool icy nights that make you feel like christmas is right around the corner, there is everything to fall in love about it right now-- especially the candy.. i love chocolate.
hk jacket, niki biki leggings, michael kors boots, stafford men's t-shirt, zara pouch
when shopping i'm not big on trying things on in the dressing room part bc i'm lazy and would rather buy it and try it on at the leisure of my own bedroom and have the time to decide if i like it or not. that way i can try it on with different things i already have or get another person's opinion. but since i don't frequent downtown as often as i'd like, i devoted a day just for shopping. it's a good idea to wear something that's easy to remove off and on and wear simple basic staple colors that i can easily layer underneath something. and i usually wouldn't recommend heels especially if you're going to be doing a lot of walking, however, these are so comfortable i can walk for days in 'em...
