(eight*sixty dress, franco sarto shoes)

I got this dress at Liv Boutique a couple months ago and these old beat up espadrilles are still a favorite comfy wedge. Anyhow, call me Clovergirl, but I have a fascination for cows and on our way home we drove by to look for that sign off the freeway. We must've been distracted and passed it but we did stumble upon this small barn to get a close up of some cows.

(sunglasses- therapy, top- pineapple country, shorts- guess, booties- steven by steve madden)

my first booties from dsw i got last year and they still look great and i finally got to sport one of the tops i got in hawaii since the weather finally lightened up.

we did damage in santa rosa.. shopping can be amazing here, which must explain the smile on my face.

aside from the thrift shops that always seem to be the best place to find things here like the goodwill, salvation army, or sutter hospice; there's stores like liv boutique which is hands down one of my favorites places to shop. downtown on 4th street is filled with other cute stores like punch and one of my favorite barnes and noble joints to hang at. the plaza is right at the end of the street and railroad square continues on where we strolled along after checking out the welfare league shop and i scored the most adorable belt for $2!

i could go on and on with the reasons why i love this place..

valentines day

instead of sulking for another unnecessary holiday that was created for hallmark and those that needed a specific day to express their love, i chose to join the bandwagon and celebrated valentines day. :)

and although this date can be a nightmare for many singles only reminding them the absence of a romantic relationship in their lives, i figured the relationship i wanted to commemorate was one with myself, mav, and close friends.

which is exactly what i did. i woke up and worked the fuck out. i ate lunch with tomiko and her man at one of my favorite restaurants Thai BBQ in south city- the Pad Thai is off the hook. And just when I thought the rest of  my day would be lonely till the evening, it was filled with tons of company and good laughs. I then headed out for dinner and ate at Naked Fish, a sushi house & lounge in the marina in sf and had a swell time. I ordered a "Nikki Meal" which consists of a dragon roll, miso soup, tea, & ice water- I swear I'm always on the hunt for the best dragon roll and this one is not bad at all.

Valentine's Day is seen as this holiday to make those without one feel depressed for the lack of someone special to celebrate with. But if you look around you'll see that it is not only for lovers but for those like myself to enjoy as well.

Hello MAC, Hello Kitty

by Nikki Cornell in , ,

As a former MAC artist, I finally got to feel the rave of a new release of a trend like a normal customer.
And of all the times I've been with MAC there was Barbie, then Fafi but nothing has caught my fancy the way the Hello Kitty Collection has.

Maybe it's bc I grew up adoring this iconic character that's usually assumed to be a cat but is actually a little girl according to Sanrio. And a girl without a mouth, so she "speaks from the heart" :)

MAC will release Hello Kitty Kouture, the more high end collection, March 5. So stay tuned. Imagine pulling out one of these when you're applying your makeup on. Anything with Hello Kitty and rhinestones will surely catch anyone's eye.
