First time I visited Lake Tahoe in the summer and have to say it beats the winter season for sure. Don't get me wrong I love to snowboard but there are so many more things you could do when the weather is warm and we took full advantage of our time there. We spent every single day by the lake, on the boat or at Chambers Landing Bar- a very cool spot to drink, eat and hang out by the water. Lots of people, good food and infamous punch that all guarantee a good time.
The house we stayed at was right by the lake so it was nice to have access to all our activities. We ate at Sunnyside and River Grill for our dinners and had breakfast burritos from Tahoe House Bakery & Gourmet-- all restaurants and food places I'd recommend to try.
I attempted to wake board but that didn't quite happen. It's a lot harder than it looks but at least the water wasn't as cold as I expected it to be. I had difficulty getting up but give myself A for effort for trying. Paddle boarding was more my speed so I really got to enjoy that instead.
We went for a hike near a trail by our place that led us to an amazing view of the whole lake, we played board games, watched movies and stayed by the hot tub after the sun went down. It was a very relaxing and adventurous weekend and the perfect way to spend the last few days of summer.
