Alex Cornell is a San Francisco-based Designer and Musician. A transplant to the West Coast via Duke University, Alex has been doing design work in the Bay Area for the last four years. He joined Firespotter in late 2010 and left his MFA Design program shortly thereafter to pursue fame and fortune with his Firespotter comrades. Prior to Firespotter, he spent three years studying design as apprentice to Scott Hansen (ISO50), as well as writing for the blog and running the studio.
His work has been featured in many international magazines, publications, and blogs – most recently in The Modernist (Gestalten 2011). Alex is writing a book on creative block, to be published by The Princeton Architectural Press in 2012. Recently he passed over 2 million views on YouTube where he maintains a periodic online musical presence.
