A Test Post for Nikki

by Nicole Desuasido

The Hamptons is everything you imagine it to be and these pictures make me want to go back already. Anywhere I spend seven days or more becomes like home and this trip to New York was very memorable. We had dinner in NYC the night before at Blue Hill-- one of my favorite restaurants and too bad they don't allow you to take pictures inside but I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area. In Montauk, which is basically the furthest end of Long Island, I had breakfast every single morning at Joni's Cafe that consisted of a smoothie and a cinnamon raisin toast with cream cheese.

I know I'm late with posting this editorial from Glamour but I love Nicole Richie and these pictures  give me so much inspiration for the summer and my upcoming trip this Sunday. I've clearly been so busy and haven't had time to post pics of looks I love but here's a few from Tuula, SongOfStyle and SincerelyJules

Went to NYC for a few days for some TechCrunch conference for Alex's work. Weather in New York is so so strange. Wasn't really sure what to pack but of course it had to rain the whole entire week I was there. The weird part was that it was really humid so it was really difficult to dress. Finally caved and purchased some Hunter Boots. Searched for the Jimmy Choo versions and had no luck. Fortunately they did have my Celine bag I've been searching high and low for. Was ready to settle for the mini and you have no idea how happy I was to find the last micro in stock. I don't even care if I'm *late* in purchasing this bag, I don't think I've ever loved an article of clothing/accessory as much as this. Next runner up is this jacket. I could live in it and is currently my favorite thing to wear right now.

Contents of my bag:
1.) Feragammo wallet that I'm finally going to put back into use
                      2.) gum
                      3.) iPhone
4.) chapstick, lipstick, gloss, Jo Malone perfume sample, vitamins
                      5.) Dita sunglasses
                      6.) Earphones

Congrats to Alex and his team for winning best start up at the conference :) Other highlights from the trip were dinner at Blossom, Pure Food and Wine, and ABC Kitchen. Should've taken more photos along the way but was so bummed of the rain. Still was able to shop, meet old friends and even though I had 12 bug bites on my feet.. after 3 doses of Benadryl, loads of hydrocortisone ointment and rest, I managed to walk the next day all over the Meatpacking DistrictThe Highline and Times Square. Was a fun filled trip and as much as I love New York, I still think SF rocks.

These photos are long overdue. I'm the queen of procrastination and need to step my blog game up. Just got back from New York and the Philippines not too long ago and didn't take a bunch of photos as I should have. I'll post soon but for the most part you can find them on instagram. I'm a newly vegetarian and have been going over a month strong. You can follow that adventure here. Other than that my hair has gotten 3 shades lighter than I like and will be correcting that this week. I haven't seen the gym or gone to yoga, so that too is on the to do more regularly list. And to save the trouble of emails-- the lipstick color above is impassioned by MAC and that is all my hair without extensions.

Day 3 involved another pre game pool party and riding my first ferris wheel ever. Had a Pink's hot dog and chill cheese fries before we met with everyone. Went crazy when The Weeknd played Crew Love. Caught a glimpse of Gotye then hopped over to Calvin Harris, one of my highlights of the trip. Stayed for 20 minutes into Avicii's set and watched these girls throw glitter everywhere and go wild, which btw looked very cool.  Headed over and squeezed our way up close to the Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg show. Absolutely the best part of the whole festival. I realized there is an inner gangster rapper in me for the fact that I knew every single song word for word. Blown away by each surprise performance-- to get such talented artists all on one stage. And just when I thought Kanye's performance last year would be tough to beat, Tupac was such a treat that it made it a million times better. Looking at these pictures already give me withdrawals but now with Maria's wedding, I'm so preoccupied and beyond exhausted from traveling and adjusting with the time difference that my schedule is way too hectic to pause and think of it. Luckily I had some down time to get these up before I lag again. My body still thinks it's at Coachella and wanted to reminisce while it's fresh. I'll return back here with pictures from the Philippines once I get back next week. Till then, toodles.

I'm officially off the blogging radar right now so it's better to catch me on instagram instead. I'm leaving to the Hamptons this Sunday and plan to make an effort to take lots of pictures for you all. Since I got back from New York in May, I've cut my hair above my shoulders at Di Pietro Todd Salon on Fillmore and got LASIK by Dr. Manche from the Stanford Eye Laser Center-- he is THE best. Recovery has been a bitch since I'm counting down the days to wear makeup again. I just feel so naked without it as bad as that sounds but partly because my face is dramatically lighter than my body just because I never tan it. Otherwise everything else is well. Still a vegetarian and still planning on keeping this blog up to date as much as possible. Possibly a major revamp in store.

These photos are long overdue. Went to San Diego two weekends ago for Maria's bachelorette party. SFO's terminal 2 has the best food options for an airport. Stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in the Gas Lamp District. Rushed and had no time to shop for the trip so I borrowed Rachael's top and wore it as a dress for one of the theme nights. Jumped around to a bunch of clubs and realized I haven't danced my butt off like that in forever. San Diego has a huge nightlife/party scene. Stingaree and Fluxx were probably my favorite ones. I'll admit I feel a tad old being out but since we were celebrating and for all those who ask about nightlife questions.. there you go. Had a massage and super fun spa day with the ladies. Took a Zumba class. Ate at La Puerta for some tasty Mexican food. I was on a roll with my health conscious/no alcohol diet but was sold on the sangria, chicken tacos, guacamole and chips and salsa. Oh, and the bike rides to get to/from each club were a fun highlight for some strange reason. Maybe bc it was a weird switch up from being used to taking a taxi. All in all it was an exhausting 2 days but very fun experience!

Love this editorial of Agyness Deyn from Vogue's February 2009 issue. It's one of my all time favorites from the many tear sheets that flood my mood boards and felt very fitting to post now. Anyway, sorry for lagging on everything. March has been quite hectic and with April right around the corner, I definitely will have a lot more to blog about since that month is filled with so much action. Can't wait!
