Hollywood Blvd. has a nightlife thats filled with tons of hotspots like My House, plush bars like Teddy's at the Roosevelt Hotel, cool lounges like The Room, or upscale and hip clubs like LAX, the Kress, Opera & Crimson.

All of the places we checked out were SO FUN but my favorite spot was the Opera since Keri Hilson was performing. When we entered this place we were welcomed without waiting in no line to the red carpet, cameras, excellent music, great bartenders, fun dancing, cool vibe and good people. And I've never seen a place that does bottle service like this- with sparklers and the works.. it was so cool.

Thanks to my homegirl Karen for showing us a great time in LA. :) We had such a blast all weekend!

Melrose Ave.

Melrose Avenue is one of my favorite streets to shop on every time I come to LA, especially on a Sunday. It reminds me of Haight St. since it's a funky and hip retail strip with lots of culture and a vibe that's colorful and fun. There are a bunch of hipsters, vintage finds, and trendy shops that offer the same thing in different stores. However some select stores I absolutely love like Voom by Joy Han, Dita LegendsBetsey Johnson, Urban Outfitters, Wasteland and a bunch of boutiques that carry items you can find at Forever 21 are all here in this quirky street.

And if you head towards the West Hollywood side you'll find another Kitson Boutique and there's also the Urth Caffe right across which is a hip coffee & tea joint that is usually always crowded but is worth the wait- they have one of the best Iced Coffees and people watching is always interesting as it attracts locals and tourists of all kinds.

Downtown LA, Fashion District

I got this top at Painted Bird one of my favorite thrift stores in San Francisco and the pants are a greyish-light blue pinstripe that I fell in love with and just had to buy. At first I felt a little hippie-ish, but I hardly ever wear pants and I can't tell you how much taller I felt in these but my friends said it definitely added length to my 5'1'' frame.

Anyway, we had lunch in Little Tokyo, located in Downtown LA and while you're downtown make sure to check out The Fashion District. This place is unbelievable with a 90 block span making it the hub of the apparel industry on the West Coast. Saturday's are usually the busiest days, as many stores that are wholesale only sell to the general public and on the last Friday of the month they have sample sales galore. You will find lots of good deals here but get there early and be prepared to walk!
