my musts to take to the beach:
the top was meant to tie around the neck, however, i wrapped it around several times in the center to create a bow. the fedora hat was very useful in blocking the sun. and i know my feet aren't the most flattering feature on my body, but i do have this weird fetish for toe nail designs- but only on the big toe. they do a great job at modern nails in santa rosa. they apply rhinestones and glitter and since i'm not a big fan of acrylic nails (i prefer short & clear on my hands) it's a fun way for me to be daring.

i could lay in the beach all day.. and the rest is history. oh and i love the smell of hawaiian tropic sun tan lotion. :)

i wake up this morning with no memory whatsoever of last night- except that level 4 is great. haha. or maybe it wasn't but anything topped our day of shitty weather and the excitement of getting ready and seeing other people, aside a balding overweight old man that snores like a pig, farts like a whoopee cushion and breathes like a dragon, was feasting my eyes. i got wasted. enough said.

waking up next to my throwup, i'm reminded of oh ya that happened.. haha and after feeding some birds outside our lanai and sharing my wealth of ritz crackers, we get ready to enjoy the beautiful sun :) finally.

we lay out 9am-3pm. wow. anyhow, i got a good run at pineapple country. my new favorite store. and after maybe 6 shades darker, my tan is working in full progress and my hawaii trip feels it has just begun! :)

apparently, i decided to travel to hawaii on the hottest week in sf all year. and what seemed obvious to trade foggy weather for warm skies was quite the opposite of my arrival in honolulu.

hoping for a change in weather, things lightened up and we were able to catch some sun for an hour or so.. then our stroll down the strip of waikiki felt more like we were walking through a blizzard as we scurried through stores only to feel frozen coming from the damp weather into an ice cold air conditioned store- bad combination- and my thoughts for my return to hawaii would never enter my mind again! in all honesty, i was ready to go home by day 2 back to the bay.

but in all disappointment there is some light, and to my liking it made a terrific shopping spree at the ala moana shopping center. we took TheBus and the trolley, and i am reminded of all the reasons why I love coming here aside the beautiful weather. there's the inspiration of the beautiful japanese chicks flaring with so much style. i love everything about it- their funkiness, classiness, hip, fresh, effortless cool, all in their own unique way. not to mention their skin is clean, their hair is to die for, and for some reason they always look perfectly polished.

then there's the stores we don't have back at home, which never cease to fail me. however i will say 88 tees has been more of a miss than a hit for me. luckily there's a good lineup of my favorites spots like le grande marquet or spiral girl in the mall.

so with no tan after 2 days in hawaii, i'd say i'm still up. 4 more days to go and 3 nights.. lots and lots to do! :)

i function best when its 75 degrees or warmer, however, i am a woman of extremes and love the sport of snowboarding, so staying warm is a must in such temperatures like these.

don't let the sun fool you, the wind chill factor was ridiculous and it was by far the coldest time i've ever gone boarding. i think my fingers suffered from frost bite and i had to buy this handkerchief bc the air was so icy on the lift, the cold would hit directly to my brain and it's a pain that hurts like no other.

anyhow, it does feel good to finally enjoy the slopes after a long hiatus.
