coming to
great america brought me back to my childhood memories.. i haven't been to this place in years.. and although i'm not a fan of scary rollercoaster rides now.. there was definitely a sense of nostalgia and familiarity coming back after so long. when i was younger this was my summer hang out spot and it was nice to revisit and be reminded of all the reasons why i used to love coming here.
wearing flats was an excellent idea since walking throughout the park can be exhausting except note to self- wearing a skirt may be smart since it keeps you cool in the heat BUT while riding rollercoasters in the front seat- your pictures taken on the rides might make you rethink next time to wear shorts!
this past weekend would've been a perfect time to visit new york with fashion week and the mtv vma's all happening at the same time.. but thank goodness for style.com which kept me up to date on the latest fashion shows... here are some of my favorites in order by designer from top to bottom... i just made an inspiration board over my lazy weekend that i've been meaning to post up but this should suffice in the mean time... enjoy!

oh and here are some of my favorites from the MTV VMA 2009 awards.. my highlights of this night were definitely beyonce's single ladies performance- i was blown away- and giving her moment back to taylor swift :) oh and i heart alexa chung and still like kanye west.. everyone makes mistakes!

"me & u" . but what most people don't know about this singer is that she's very sweet and down to earth and she is so much more gorgeous in person. i'm not too sure how i feel about her new hair do but i do like her humble spirit.
i had such a fun night that i'm glad i have these photo's to remember it.. the hangover today is also well worth it.. i haven't partied that hard since vegas. feels good :)

i'm sad summer is over and i have no idea why wearing white is such a fashion faux pax after labor day so luckily this fun jacket i got years ago was laying in my trunk.. (what a difference it makes!) and even if i'm not one to follow rules all the time, it worked out since it really pulled this outfit together. i got the jacket and this purse in the philippines many years ago and love when you can revisit pieces you haven't worn and make you happy you still kept em..
anyway, speaking of the philippines.. after a relaxing long weekend i arrive at work today and look who's at the studio..
