Fleetweek
guess marciano hat, white aritzia shirt, black zara knit cardigan, cole haan flats,
Last year, Alex and I enjoyed Fleetweek on the water but this year, we watched the Blue Angels fly right above our roof. Even though it was obvious, we didn't expect THAT many people to be crowded on top of their rooftops. We've been in this Game of Thrones marathon mode so when we were welcomed by the nice weather and sunshine, it was very refreshing to be outside. Plus it was really cool to be in the comfort of our own deck, listening to our own choice of music, stocked with our goodies and alcohol needs. It was like viewing the air show in our own private party with everyone else surrounding us a roof or two away. The next day we biked down to the Marina Green to check out the America's Cup and got to see all the action happening down there. October is such an eventful time in SF. There was the Giants play off game, 49er game, the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival, Castro Street Fair, Columbus Day Parade in North Beach, Fleetweek and America's Cup all in that one weekend. This coming weekend is the Treasure Island Music Festival and my number one priority is to not freeze to death. I learned my lesson from the past 2 years and no matter how much I bundled up, I was always still so cold. Hopefully that will change this time around since the lineup is great and I can last through the whole night while staying warm to watch all the performers.
