Even if you want tousled curls, I think starting with a straight base gives your hair a more polished effect. I've been so accustomed to using an old school gold Helen of Troy 1.5 inch barrel curling iron. I can't seem to part with it though I will give it a whirl with the flat iron one of these days. I hear it works just as well!

After, I use hairspray to keep the curls in tact keeping it nice and light without weighing it down. Bedhead's Hard Head is the hairspray of my choice but a lot of people do like B ig Sexy Hair as well. You can add a shine spray or gloss after- I like Abba Pure Shine Spray- it smells so good.

I don't wash my hair everyday and as disgusting as that sounds I try to go for as long of a period as I can without having to. I use the pink Pureology shampoo and conditioner and if I don't have time to blow dry I'll occasionally use Agadir Oil to tame any frizz or flyaways.
